“Samantha’s personalized treatment has helped me stay active and pain-free while I was getting in shape to compete in a half Ironman within ten months after delivering a baby. She knows how to treat the issues I had leading up to and after delivery, and focused on helping my body transition and adjust. Her acupuncture treatments always make me feel more alert, light, and ready to go as if I were a car and got an inspection level 2 oil change. I highly recommend!!” -Jen R.
What makes sports & orthopedic acupuncture different? Acupuncturist that specializes in either is well trained in orthopedic and neurological exams as well as trained in traditional Chinese Medicine.
Samantha’s passion for competing in triathlons and trail running inspirer her pursuits to train in orthopedic and sports acupuncture. In addition to continuing education, in December of 2019, Samantha will receive the degree of Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM). Samantha started this program because of its specialty in orthopedics. The program is 1, 225 hours including 65 hours of an externship observing orthopedic surgeons and 187 hours observing orthopedic Chinese medicine doctors with over 15 years experience.
If you are an athlete or just someone that enjoys being active, acupuncture can help. Samantha has successfully treated back pain (including sciatica), rotator cuff tears, ankle sprains, neck pain, and runner’s knee, to name a few.
